It is an incredible concept of restricting oneself from illicit affairs because without regulation & direction no vehicle(human body) can reach to its destination.

There is no difficulty in regarding India as the source of the entirely new ideal of asceticism in the West”. William Phillips

India is the storehouse of spirituality and it is no surprise that the west has taken inspiration and guidance from the East. The monks of radhagopinath ashram are an epitome of celibacy who enjoy spirituality rather than others who think of it as an austerity.

  38. Y.Raja Shekar

As the Westerners are very keen to learn our vedic culture, the Indians are madly after the western culture. The vedic culture has it all. What Prabhuji had quoted on celibacy from Srimad Bhagavatam 7th Canto, was amazingly a quote of Prahlad Maharaj, a 5 year old child. This goes to show that even a fully grown up modern man with all the intelligence is not a match to even a 5 year old boy of Indian vedic culture. This is the power of vedic culture preached and practiced by the celibate monks of Sri Sri Radhagoinath ashram under the meticulate guidance of HH Radhanath Swami. All glories to each one of them.

A very nice and deep article to read. Not only Brhamacharis but Grahasthas should also try to restrice their sexual life as much as they can so that they can serve Guru and Krishna in a better way leaving their pleasures behind.

Thank you for sharing the real truth about how celibacy is to be practiced. It’s not only about abstaining from sex, it is focusing on something higher. Celibacy should not be an experience of agony, it should be joyful and the monks at Radhagopinath ashram are a living proof of this joy and bliss.

A temporary solution to the sex desire can never satiate a person but can only increase his madness, which comes next time with added intensity.
